Overview
PLEASE NOTE : this is strictly a self employed chair rental opportunity. There is no hourly wage. You retain 100% of your earnings minus the monthly chair fee .

We are seeking a talented and motivated Self Employed Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon as a chair renter. This role offers the flexibility of running your own business within a professional environment, providing you with the opportunity to build your clientele while benefiting from our established salon facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to growing their business. This position is perfect for experienced stylists looking to expand their services and showcase their expertise in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, and styling, tailored to client preferences.
Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring client satisfaction.
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised work station in compliance with health and safety standards.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices when applicable, sharing expertise in hairstyling and customer engagement.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and industry developments through ongoing professional development.

Experience

Proven experience as a hair stylist with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in cutting, colouring, and styling.
Level 2 or above in hairdressing required
Providing consultations and personalised recommendations
Staying up to date with current trends, techniques, and treatments
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safe chemical use
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage appointments efficiently and maintain an organised workspace.
