Overview of the role

Due to continued growth, we are hiring a new Facilities Coordinator to help establish the smooth and efficient running of the building and its assets.
What will you be doing?

Support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the building, grounds, and facilities.

Act as a first point of contact for facilities-related matters and provide cover for the Building Maintenance Manager when required.

Conduct routine inspections and monitor building services, equipment, and utilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Coordinate contractors, maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and associated compliance documentation.

Support health, safety, environmental, and risk management activities, including audits, inductions, inspections, and risk assessments.

Assist with waste management, recycling, sustainability initiatives, and the maintenance of ISO 14001 accreditation.

Carry out minor repairs, office improvements, workspace reconfigurations, and general maintenance tasks.

Manage facilities supplies and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.

Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers.

Undertake ad hoc facilities, maintenance, and problem-solving tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the site.

What are we looking for?
The right person for this role will have experience in a facilities, maintenance, caretaker, or similar hands-on role. They'll be proactive, practical, and dependable, with a positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and well-presented working environment.
Key Skills & Experience:

Experience in a facilities, maintenance, caretaker, janitorial, or building support role.

Practical maintenance and repair skills, with the ability to resolve day-to-day building issues.

Good organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.

Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.

Competent in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Word.

Full UK driving licence.

Willingness to undertake training, including IOSH, IEMA, and Legionella awareness.

What is the pay?
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week at a rate of £14.36 per hour
