DEBURRER
Jacquet UK are one of the largest processors of stainless steel and high-value metals in the UK, specialising in Laser, Plasma, Waterjet and Saw cutting. Due to continued growth and the planned construction of an additional facility on site, we are expanding our team and looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Deburrer.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To ensure cut components are deburred, finished to the required standard, and packed safely and accurately for despatch, while maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Debur and finish stainless steel components produced on laser, plasma, waterjet and saw cutting equipment.
- Use grinders and other heavy hand tools safely, effectively, and for extended periods.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Loading/unloading – receiving deliveries and loading goods onto vehicles.
- Pack materials onto pallets, ensuring accuracy against order requirements.
- Carry out continuous manual handling tasks, including safely and repeatedly lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy metal components and pallets weighing up to 25kg throughout the shift.
- Perform physical labor on a concrete warehouse floor, involving prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive movements.
- Complete basic equipment checks at the start of each shift and report any defects.
- Work reliably and maintain a steady, productive pace to support consistent workflow.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and meet production and despatch deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organised working environment and follow all site safety procedures.
- Support general warehouse duties as required.
- In the long term, undertake training to operate cutting machinery (Laser, Plasma, Waterjet, CNC Plate Saws, Band Saws).
ABOUT YOU:The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a heavy warehouse, deburring, or manufacturing environment.
- Be confident using heavy hand tools such as grinders.
- Possess the physical stamina required for a demanding, fast-paced metal processing role.
- Thoroughly understand manual handling principles and demonstrate a commitment to working safely at all times.
- Hold a current Forklift and Overhead Crane licence (desirable, training can be provided).
- Be organised, reliable, and able to prioritise workloads.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Be flexible and willing to support other tasks within the warehouse.

HOURS OF WORK (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Friday: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
