Job Description:

We are seeking 2 experienced Steel Fixers to join our expanding team in O'Reilly Precast (Atlantic Way, Barry Port, Barry, Wales, CF63 3RG).

Responsibilities

Assemble reinforcement cages by tying rebar together using wire, clips, or welding to create cages or mesh assemblies that fit within the moulds
Install additional components such as inserts, lifting anchors, mesh, and connection plates that will be cast into the concrete
Carry out all duties as instructed and in line with agreed deadlines, while working towards weekly production targets set by the Production Manager
Check quality and compliance by ensuring all work matches drawings and meets required safety and structural standards before concrete is poured
Ensure plant and facilities are clean and tidy at all times
Adhere to Health and Safety procedures

Requirements

Previous steel fixing experience essential
Experience in construction industry essential
Ability to read construction drawings
Ability to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment
Flexible attitude to work
Awareness of health and safety practices in a factory or construction setting

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
