The successful candidate will take a senior hands-on role within the finishing department, responsible for preparing, spraying and completing high-end bespoke joinery items to the highest standards expected within luxury residential, commercial and specialist interior sectors. Proven experience spraying within the high-end bespoke joinery sector is essential.
You will work closely alongside another sprayer daily, helping guide, support and train them to ensure consistent finishing standards across all projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of polyurethane paints, lacquers, water-based finishes, stained and oiled timber finishes, as well as a methodical and quality-driven approach.
Key tasks:
- Prepare and spray bespoke joinery including cabinetry, panelling, doors and specialist bespoke furniture
- Lead by example within the spray shop, working alongside and another sprayer
- Apply polyurethane pigmented paints, clear lacquers, water-based coatings, stains and oiled finishes
- Carry out preparation including sanding, priming, denibbing and finishing
- Maintain spray equipment, booths and finishing tools
- Ensure finishes meet approved samples and company quality standards
- Work with production management to meet programme deadlines
- Maintain and monitor stock levels of products and consumables within this department
- Ensure all products are ordered for each project and are correct
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the spray shop

The Senior Sprayer will bring a high level of technical skill and proven experience within the finishing of high-end bespoke joinery. The role requires excellent spray technique, a strong understanding of preparation processes such as sanding, priming and denibbing, and a methodical approach to achieving consistent, high-quality finishes. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all work matches approved samples and meets the high standards expected within luxury residential, commercial and specialist interior projects. Extensive hands-on experience within a professional spray shop environment and a deep understanding of finishing processes are essential to maintain quality, efficiency and consistency across all work produced within the department
Desired skills & expertise:
- Proven experience spraying within the high-end bespoke joinery sector is essential
- Strong knowledge of polyurethane coatings, lacquers and modern water-based finishing systems
- Experience with stained and oiled timber finishes
- Ability to mentor and develop other finishing staff
- A methodical approach to work and an eye for detail, with a strong interest to learn new methods and techniques

- A clean full UK driver’s licence/own means on transport
