Contract: Permanent, Full Time (39hrs/week)
Location: Flitwick, Bedfordshire
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8.00AM-4.30PM, Fri 8.00AM – 3.30PM
Salary: Competitive - negotiable depending on experience
Overtime: may be available at an enhanced rate.

We are looking for a skilled Wood Machinist to join our team in Flitwick. The ideal candidate will have a previous experience working as a Wood Machinist. Additional, in-house training will be given to competent time served candidates.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Skilled in the use of all classical wood working machinery such as Planer, Thicknesser, Moulder, Spindle Moulder, Tenoner, Saws etc.
- Hands-on experience in joinery machining and joinery construction is essential.
- Ability to follow written instructions and read technical drawings is essential.
- A good level of math is required, as the role involves numerical work and accurate measurements.
- Committed to adhering to current health & safety legislation in the workplace.
- An Excellent team player who works cohesively with others to achieve a common goal.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environments.
Desirable (but not essential):
- NVQ in wood machining or City & Guilds.
- Knowledge or use on CNC machines would be beneficial.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Producing one-off bespoke pieces as well as high volume units.
- Working with the production team to establish the best machining method for the task in hand.
- Working with the production team and tooling suppliers to establish the best machining tools to be used.
- Communicating any production related discrepancies with your line manager prior to producing items.
