Overview of Role

Our Technology team is looking for an IT Support Technician - Level 2 who is passionate about providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across Microsoft 365, Windows devices, cloud services, identity platforms, and corporate IT systems.
This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex problems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal performance and usability of our internal systems.

This is a hybrid role based at either our Belfast or Derry/Londonderry office.

Please note that, although this position is advertised across multiple jurisdictions, we are recruiting for a single vacancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level technical support to end-users for internal systems and software applications, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Windows endpoints, networking, and end-user computing environments.
Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to investigate complex technical issues, implement solutions, and support technology improvements.
Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, including user lifecycle management, group administration, conditional access troubleshooting, authentication issues, and access reviews.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles, FAQs, runbooks, SOPs, and user guides to improve self-service support options
Support device deployments, software rollouts, security initiatives, and IT service improvement projects.
Act as a technical escalation point for Level 1 support, taking ownership of complex incidents and ensuring issues are progressed through to resolution.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Infrastructure Support, or Microsoft 365 Administration roles supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common desktop applications
Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, or related enterprise technologies.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation and troubleshooting tasks

You should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to mentor and coach junior technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
Strong customer service focus with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working within ITIL-based service management processes, including Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management.
Ability to identify root causes, implement preventative measures, and contribute to continual service improvement.
