Our services include electrical installations, fire alarms, security systems, networking, automation, air conditioning, compliance, and specialist engineering projects.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to lead our electrical division while remaining hands-on when required.
The Role
This is a varied role combining office, site and management responsibilities. You will be responsible for running the electrical department from enquiry through to completion while assisting with installations and commissioning where required.
As part of the role, you will act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS), ensuring all electrical work is completed to the highest standards and complies with BS 7671 and NICEIC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS).
- Survey, estimate and quote electrical projects.
- Produce technical proposals and assist with electrical design.
- Manage projects from enquiry through to completion.
- Plan labour, materials and project schedules.
- Order materials and liaise with suppliers.
- Manage electricians, apprentices and subcontractors.
- Carry out installations, inspection, testing and commissioning where required.
- Complete electrical certification.
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and company procedures.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assist in the continued growth and development of the electrical division.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Previous experience surveying and pricing electrical works.
- Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Previous experience acting as an NICEIC Qualified Supervisor.
- ECS Gold Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Electrical design experience.
- Experience using SimPRO or similar job management software.
