Full job description

Overview
Chelmsford Golf Club is a private members club founded in 1893 and has a very active playing membership involved in competitive and social golf.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our small friendly team. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with people will be key to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant experience for anyone visiting the Professional Shop.

You will receive training in all areas of the business to allow you to be confident working in a team or alone.

The right candidate must have good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, excellent organisational skills, a good telephone manner, be comfortable communicating at all levels with team members and customers and enjoy interacting with people. As during some of your shifts you will be working on your own you need to be able to work on your own initiative.

This opportunity to work at one of the premier golf clubs in the county is available straight away on a 20 hours (Summer) 15 hours (Winter), 7 days a week rota basis.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
Time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Good computer skills including Microsoft software and Email systems
Must be a golfer or have exceptional golf knowledge
Other skills required which can be explained further during an interview
