Your Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trainee Window Treatment Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the precise installation of various window treatments, ensuring that each installation meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of both manual and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Responsibilities
- Measure and assess window dimensions to determine the appropriate window treatment solutions.
- Install a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, curtains, and shutters, ensuring they are plumb and level.
- Install outdoor living pods and external shading solutions such as awnings.
- Fabricate custom fittings as necessary to accommodate unique window shapes or sizes.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
- Perform minor carpentry work when required, including adjustments to existing structures to facilitate proper installation.
- Conduct painting or plastering tasks related to installation where necessary for a seamless finish.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout the installation process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role or relevant trade skills such as carpentry or masonry preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret plans (where necessary) for accurate installations.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installations.
- Good physical fitness, capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- A valid driver's licence (or learning to drive) is essential for travel between job sites.
Our Package
- Salary from £26,000.00 increasing to £30,000 on successful completion of training milestones within 18 months (accelerated if targets are met ahead of training schedule).
