We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to lead classes on Saturday mornings. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate dance techniques and routines clearly, ensuring students understand instructions
- Create a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a safe environment for all participants
- Prepare class materials and organise warm-up exercises, stretches, and cool-down routines
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding class schedules and student progress
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching dance, ideally with a recognised qualification or certification
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles suitable for children or beginners (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of all ages
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons that are both educational and enjoyable
- Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about fostering a love for dance
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is preferred
