Job Title: Learning Support Practitioner

Location: Stewart Park, Middlesbrough

Contract Type: Open to Full time or Part time

Salary: £24,767.00 per annum, pro rata

About the role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Learning Support Practitioner for our Stewart Park campus. This will be to provide additional learning support and individual support for students who have high needs and SEND, to enable them to enjoy a fully inclusive college experience and to achieve and progress.

We would expect applicants to have an understanding and experience of some of the following Special Educational Needs – Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Social and Emotional Mental Health, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Dyspraxia and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.

Interviews: TBC

Start Date: The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Gateshead.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness, Uniformed Public Services and Veterinary Nursing.
