Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Tutor to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics. In this role, you will deliver engaging tutoring sessions tailored to individual learning needs, helping students improve their understanding and confidence in math. Your energetic approach will motivate learners of all ages, including those with special educational needs, to achieve their academic goals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys while developing your teaching skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focused on various math topics, from basic arithmetic to advanced algebra and geometry
Assess students’ current understanding and identify areas for improvement to tailor lesson plans effectively
Use diverse teaching methods and educational resources to make math concepts accessible and engaging
Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional strategies to meet individual requirements
Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting lessons as needed
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, curiosity, and confidence in math skills
Communicate with parents, guardians, or school staff regarding student progress and areas for development

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics across different age groups and skill levels
Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts in an understandable manner
Ability to work effectively with children and young learners, including those with special educational needs
Knowledge of diverse instructional techniques tailored to individual learning styles
Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate students to reach their full potential
Excellent organizational skills for planning lessons and tracking student progress
