Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisation’s purchasing activities, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services, and maintaining optimal supply chain efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives and optimise procurement processes within a dynamic organisation. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of ERP systems, and a solid understanding of supply chain and logistics management.

Duties

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals to optimise costs and quality.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement negotiations to secure favourable terms.
Utilise ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to manage purchase orders, track inventory levels, and analyse procurement data.
Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers or alternative sources to enhance supply chain resilience.
Oversee compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Analyse supply chain logistics to optimise inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
Prepare reports on procurement performance metrics for senior management review.

Skills

Proven experience in procurement management within a complex organisational environment.
Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is essential.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and vendor management.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools to inform decision-making.
Effective leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
