Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all maintenance activities, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, and providing hands-on support for the repair and maintenance of press brakes, laser cutters, punch presses, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, spot welders, paint plant and factory services.
Duties
Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
Diagnosing breakdown problems
Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
Controlling maintenance tools , stores and equipment
Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs
Managing contractors, and external service providers
Reviewing and identifying any specialist equipment for production requirements
Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Developing preventative maintenance plans to ensure all equipment is maintained to its optimum levels
Experience
Previous manufacturing experience within a sheet metal or similar industrial environment is essential, along with a practical, proactive, and hands-on approach.
Hours 7am to 5pm Monday to Thursday - we can be flexible with the hours if alternative working arrangements are required.
Salary is based on experience.
Pay: £17.18-£20.00 per hour
