Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Salary: Up to £45,000, depending on experience

About the role:

As a Finance Analyst at EG On the Move, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making support.

Working closely with the FP&A Manager, you will provide accurate financial information, identify trends and opportunities, and help drive operational and commercial performance. You will support the production of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for Grocery & Merchandise (G&M), partnering with stakeholders to deliver valuable insights and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced and growing business.

What you’ll do:

Own financial analysis across Grocery and Merchandise including; waste, markdowns, pricing, and promotions, providing clear actionable insights into the key drivers of sales, margin, and profitability.
Partner closely with the Director of G&M and Finance team to support commercial decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
Analyse trading performance and identify risks, opportunities, and trends, translating data into actionable recommendations for the Grocery & Merchandise teams.
Provide insight and challenge to stakeholders, delivering recommendations based on data and financial analysis.
Support month-end processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Assist with financial modelling, business cases, and ad hoc analysis to support commercial and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting, processes, and systems in Finance.

What we are looking for:

Retail or grocery business partnering experience, including knowledge of Waste, Shrink, Markdowns and Promotions.
Financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to analyse large datasets and identify key insights.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and work effectively with finance and operational teams.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
