Full job description

Due to Hewland’s continued expansion and strong product portfolio across both motorsport and future automotive, we are looking to recruit Deburring/Finisher Technician to support Production

Hewland Engineering is relied upon by many of the world’s top motorsport teams, performance car constructors, and hybrid and electric transportation innovators to extract the performance and reliability they require to get their high-performance transmission challenges done. Whatever the nature of your next motorsport or vehicle engineering project might be, Hewland can help with off-the shelf and bespoke solutions along with design consulting and manufacturing expertise. At Hewland, we believe that good customer service is every bit as important as a strong product.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

· Precision deburring of metal components using various tools and techniques.

· Checking and deburr work under magnification.

· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

· Cleaning and protecting of components following deburr activity.

· Checking and completing the necessary quality documentation, paper and electronic.

· Taking responsibility for work area.

· To assist in other areas of production within capabilities as and when required

· Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business

· Adhere to all Quality, Health + Safety and Environmental Policy’s, Manuals, Objectives, Process, Procedures and Work Instructions

· Maintains a safe and clean working environment in line with company’s Health and Safety procedures.

· Carries out regular TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) Checks.

· Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, notifying H&S when they need replacing

· Actively participate in the Hewland Think Smart/Safe program.

· Willingness to be trained with new skills

Desirable:

Experience in a production or automotive based environment
