The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research is a newly funded research centre that has been established to conduct world class research that contributes to a world where differences between children and young people are understood and accepted, strengths are capitalised on, and mental health difficulties are prevented or addressed early in life.
We are seeking a qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) or Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to work within the Anxiety and Depression in children and Young people (AnDY) Research Clinic - Oxford. The postholder will support children and young people aged 4-17, and their parents, carers and families, by providing structured psychological assessments and low-intensity psychological interventions.

Due to the nature of the role, this post is only available full-time and requires the post-holder to be on-site (in the Life and Mind Building or other school and clinical sites as required.
About the Role
The post is funded for 12 months and is based in the Department of Experimental Psychology based at the Life and Mind Building.
In this role, you will undertake clinical assessments and interventions with children, young people and families, under supervision. You will liaise and provide consultation advice and support to school staff and other educational services. You will support research activities and work closely with other members of the AnDY team, research colleagues, school staff and families to deliver a high-quality clinical service and research.
About You
You will be a registered healthcare professional or have a qualification from a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner Training course (e.g. Graduate or Post Graduate Certificate in CYP IAPT Low Intensity Psychological Therapies / Education Mental Health Practitioner). You will have experience of working clinically with children and young people (for instance in CAMHS), and experience working with neurodivergent children and young people. You will have strong IT and computer skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (including face-to-face, over the telephone, and via email), with demonstrated ability to engage children and young people, parents and families.
