Job description:
- London Stonemasonry (londonstonemasonry.co.uk) is looking for a skilled, experienced stone restorer and facade restoration mason.
- 100% on site
- Facade restoration of historic buildings, both commercial and domestic.
- CSCS card is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Restoration of historic building facades using traditional methods, including the following.
- Installation of stainless steel armature to allow repairs to be undertaken
- Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL) 3.5 mortar repairs to replicate mouldings
- Natural stone indents
- Brick pointing, replacement, and repair.
- Liaising with clients and London Stone Masonry staff regarding the organisation of the project.
- Maintaining tools and workspaces.
- Cutting, shaping and dressing materials where required using industry standard hand tools and power tools.
- Installation of stone worked by our banker masons.
- Reading and following technical drawings.
- Developing apprentices skill sets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £220.00-£240.00 per day
