Full job description

Hours & Contract:

37 hours per week: Mon 8.30-5, Tue 8.30am-1.30pm, Wed 8.30am-5.30pm, Thu 12.30pm-8pm, Fri 8.30am-5.30pm. There may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

Whilst this vacancy is to cover 9-12 months maternity leave, there may be future opportunity for ongoing employment subject to service requirements going forwards.

This role attracts the usual NHS pension and is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

About the Role:

This is an interesting and varied role in general practice providing a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. The duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by an experienced band 6 qualified nurse in General Practice.

Essential:

NMC registered

Current or recent nursing experience in general practice

Independent clinical decision making skills and experience

Cervical Cytology qualification

Child & Adult Immunisation experience

Chronic Disease management

Desirable:

FeNO training

Respiratory diploma or equivalent qualification

Experience managing asthma and/or COPD patients

Travel health qualification

SystmOne experience
