Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to do Returns Processing, goods in, replens and picker packer to join our growing warehouse team at our Braintree and Chelmsford Sites.
This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent hours and can work on a Saturday, who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Saturday working (7:00am and 9am – 4:00pm) is an essential part of this role.
In addition to Saturdays, we are looking for someone who can work regular weekday shifts to remain fully trained and involved with our day-to-day warehouse operations. Our preference is four weekday shifts of around six hours each, although will depend on which site you will be working from.
Our warehouse operates:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:30pm and 8.30-5.30
- Saturday: 7:00am – 4:00pm and 9am till 4pm
You will need to work from both sites so ideally living between the two.
What you'll be doing
As part of our warehouse team, you'll support all areas of the operation, including:
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Goods In and stock receiving
- Processing customer returns
- Inventory counting and stock accuracy
- Replenishing picking locations
- Preparing orders for dispatch
- Maintaining high warehouse standards and organisation
- Using handheld scanners and our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Following company procedures and quality standards
- FLT counter balance and VNA once trained
No two days are the same, so you'll be expected to support different areas of the warehouse as business demands.
What we're looking for
- Previous warehouse experience is essential; a strong willingness to learn is key
- Someone who is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Learns new processes quickly
- Has good attention to detail and can work accurately at pace
- Is physically fit and happy with manual handling, lifting, standing and walking throughout the day
- Experience with warehouse management systems or similar software is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Has or prepared to be trained on the counter balance FLT and VNA trucks
- Flexibility to work extra hours if needed
