Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver / Surface Preparation Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering materials safely and efficiently while assisting with surface preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. The successful applicant will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of safety, punctuality, and quality service.

Duties

Operating a hookloader to transport plant machinery to various project sites in a safe and responsible manner
Conducting routine vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations
Assisting with surface preparation activities, including cleaning, organising, and preparing work areas ahead of surfacing
Loading and unloading plant
Working with the wider crew on site as required

Requirments

Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence & valid CPC along with digital tachograph
Proven experience as a commercial driver, with experience in road surfacing
Ability to operate power tools and plant equipment used in surface preparation activities - bobcat sweeper experience preferred
Flexbile approach to working hours & job locations
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
Physical fitness to preparation tasks as required
