We are looking for a commercially driven Performance Marketing leader who thrives on using data, experimentation, and customer insight to drive profitable growth. You'll be equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves to optimise campaigns in a fast-moving ecommerce environment.
Based at our Brighton HQ and reporting to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you'll lead our performance marketing strategy across paid acquisition channels, working cross-functionally to grow our community, acquire high-value customers, and maximise return on marketing investment. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of digital growth at KILLSTAR while fostering a culture of high performance, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead Performance Marketing Strategy: Own the strategy across Paid Social, Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, and emerging acquisition channels, balancing short-term revenue targets with long-term customer growth.
Own Marketing Performance: Be accountable for customer acquisition, ROAS, CAC, MER, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), contribution, and overall channel performance, continually identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Budget Ownership: Manage acquisition budgets across all paid channels, making commercial decisions based on performance data and return on investment.
Campaign Execution & Optimisation: Manage, execute, and continuously optimise campaigns across Paid Social, Paid Search, Affiliates, and other acquisition channels, delivering regular insight and recommendations to improve commercial performance.
Lead a Test & Learn Culture: Build a structured experimentation roadmap across creative, audiences, landing pages, bidding strategies, and channel mix, ensuring insights are documented and shared.
Collaborate with Social Platforms: Engage directly with social networks to leverage platform capabilities, test new campaign ideas, and explore opportunities for growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly communicate with internal teams to align on objectives, strategy opportunities, and overall marketing performance.
Lead Digital Integration: Work with other team leads to align SEO, Paid Search, and Paid Social strategies, ensuring cohesive digital marketing initiatives.
Training and Transition: Oversee the transition of Paid Social campaign management to the Social Team, offering guidance and training for a smooth handover.
Mentorship & Innovation: Mentor junior team members, foster a culture of continuous learning, and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure digital marketing innovation.
Own Affiliate Growth: Launch and scale our affiliate programme, building relationships with leading publishers and continually optimising performance.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyse key digital marketing metrics across all channels, driving data-driven optimisations and refinements to achieve the best possible results.
Leverage AI & Automation: Use AI tools to improve reporting, campaign optimisation, audience analysis, and workflow efficiency, continually identifying opportunities to work smarter.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
3+ years' experience leading performance marketing across multiple acquisition channels within an ecommerce business.
Demonstrable ownership of performance marketing across Paid Social, Paid Search, SEO, and Affiliate Marketing, with direct responsibility for commercial performance and budget management.
Experience managing six-figure-plus annual marketing budgets.
Strong proficiency in reporting, dashboard development, and maintenance.
Robust understanding of GA4, attribution modelling, and incrementality.
Experience working with Shopify or another leading global ecommerce platform.
Experience working closely with CRM and Ecommerce teams.
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
Operated internationally across multiple markets.
Experience with online fashion, specifically alternative fashion and lifestyle subcultures.
Utilized AI tools to improve campaign management, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
Experience working closely with creative teams to develop high-performing paid social assets.
People management experience.
WORK HOURS & LOCATION:
This role will be based at our Brighton Studio, United Kingdom, on a hybrid working arrangement (a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, and 2 days working from home).
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with hours worked between 08:00am – 06:00pm, Monday through Friday.
