Are you a natural salesperson who knows how to turn interest into action?
Do you build rapport quickly, listen carefully, spot buying signals and know when - and how - to ask for the sale?
We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take ownership of revenue generation across two growing brands within i24 Group:
KELLART.com, our contemporary art gallery, and
TheFramers.co.uk, our bespoke picture framing business.
This is a hands-on, target-driven role for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, persistent and hungry to sell. You'll respond quickly to opportunities, follow up relentlessly and, when the pipeline needs filling, go out and create new opportunities.
About Us
KELLART's story traces back to professional footballer Bobby Kellard, whose career on the pitch led to an unexpected passion for art. After retiring from football, Bobby became a collector and gallerist, opening his own gallery in Essex with a simple philosophy: if he didn't love it, he wouldn't sell it.
Today, Bobby’s son, Brad Kellard, carries that legacy forward as founder of KELLART, championing emerging contemporary artists and connecting original art with new audiences.
Alongside KELLART, we operate The Framers, providing bespoke picture framing through our spaces in Bristol and London.
Both businesses form part of i24 Group, a global group of businesses and brands founded in 2007.
The Opportunity
You'll take day-to-day ownership of sales across several revenue streams:
- Contemporary art sales
- Bespoke picture framing sales
- Artist subscriptions
- Events and ticket sales
You'll work with customers online, over the phone, by email, through social media and face-to-face from our spaces in Bristol and if required, London.
You'll have clear weekly and monthly KPIs and revenue targets, with the freedom and responsibility to determine how you achieve them.
Ultimately, your job is simple: seize and create opportunities, convert them into sales and grow revenue.
Selling Contemporary Art
Great art sales aren't about delivering a rehearsed sales pitch. They're about people.
You'll understand what someone is drawn to, ask the right questions and listen carefully. You'll bring the story behind the artist and artwork to life, help customers visualise a piece in their own home and confidently guide them towards making a decision.
And when the moment is right, you'll ask for the sale.
Selling Bespoke Framing
Many framing opportunities begin as online enquiries, and speed matters.
You'll respond quickly, speak directly with prospective customers and turn enquiries into booked consultations at our Bristol or London locations.
You'll lead the Bristol consultations and oversee the London consultations remotely, understanding what the customer wants, recommend appropriate framing options, provide pricing and close the sale.
You'll also recognise the wider opportunity. Someone trusting us to frame something important to them is entering our wider world of art and interiors. You'll look for natural opportunities to introduce them to KELLART, show them artwork that suits their taste or invite them to an upcoming event.
You'll Create Sales - Not Just Wait for Them
We generate inbound enquiries, but successful salespeople don't depend entirely on leads landing in their inbox.
If the pipeline needs strengthening, you'll do something about it.
That could mean re-engaging previous prospects and customers, telephone and email outreach, starting conversations through social media, developing partnerships, attending networking events or creating monthly sales events that bring people into our spaces.
You'll manage your pipeline carefully, maintain accurate CRM notes and ensure opportunities are followed up consistently.
We want someone who naturally thinks: What can I do today that will generate revenue?
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Achieving weekly and monthly revenue targets
- Managing the complete sales journey from initial contact to payment
- Responding rapidly to new enquiries
- Converting enquiries into appointments and consultations
- Leading art and framing consultations
- Proactively generating new leads and opportunities
- Growing repeat and cross-brand sales
- Assist in selling artist subscriptions to suitable artists
- Developing revenue-generating events
- Maintaining an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM
- Working with colleagues to achieve overall commercial targets
- Continually looking for new ways to increase revenue
The Person We're Looking For
You'll already be an experienced salesperson and genuinely enjoy selling. Targets motivate rather than intimidate you, and you're comfortable being personally accountable for revenue.
You'll have:
- A proven track record in sales
- Strong closing ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Natural confidence speaking with different types of people
- Excellent listening and questioning skills
- The ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- The ability to recognise buying signals and act on them
- Persistence and resilience
- Confidence discussing price and asking for payment
- Strong follow-up habits
- Commercial awareness and initiative
- Excellent organisation and time management
- The ability to prioritise activity that generates revenue
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of results
Experience selling art or framing would be useful, but sales ability matters more to us than industry experience.
We can teach you about our artists, artwork, framing services and brands. What we're looking for is someone who already has the sales instinct to start conversations, uncover what people really want, build desire and confidently close.
Uncapped Earning Potential
You'll benefit from an uncapped commission structure linked to sales performance above the required monthly threshold.
There is no ceiling on commission. The more you sell, the more you can earn.
If you're a natural salesperson who sees an opportunity and acts on it, picks up the phone rather than waiting for another email, follows up when others would give up and gets genuine satisfaction from beating a target, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay: £23,400.00 per year
Application question(s):
- How do you build rapport with customers making high-value purchases?
- What would you do if a customer disagreed with your framing recommendation?
- How comfortable are you working toward sales targets?
- Why do you think you'd be successful in this role?
- How would you approach a customer who is browsing artwork but seems hesitant to buy?
Work Location: In person
