We're looking for a compassionate, trauma-informed and motivated Wellbeing Practitioner to join our innovative Sequoia Service and help transform support for people living with complex emotional needs and personality difficulties.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that's breaking down barriers, challenging stigma and ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. Working across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), you'll play a vital role in helping people develop coping strategies, improve wellbeing and achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.
About the role
As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred, psychologically informed support within the community. You'll facilitate psychoeducational groups, support peer-led activities, promote mental health awareness and help people build the skills and confidence needed to manage their wellbeing.
This is a field-based role, meaning you'll work from home, community venues and partner locations across BNSSG. You'll be provided with the equipment you need, including a laptop and smartphone, and travel expenses will be covered when required.
What you'll be doing

Delivering high-quality, recovery-focused support to people with complex emotional needs and personality difficulties.
Facilitating psychoeducational groups, wellbeing sessions and brief interventions.
Supporting people to develop personalised wellbeing and recovery plans.
Working collaboratively with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP), community partners and Experts by Experience.
Promoting greater understanding of personality difficulties and challenging mental health stigma.
Contributing to service development through co-production, feedback and continuous improvement.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting service monitoring and outcome reporting.
Supporting volunteers and helping create a welcoming, inclusive service environment.

What we're looking for
We're interested in hearing from people who are passionate about making a difference and who can bring empathy, creativity and resilience to the role.

You'll have:

Experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, including complex emotional needs or personality difficulties.
A person-centred, trauma-informed approach to support delivery.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience assessing needs, planning support and measuring outcomes.
Good knowledge of safeguarding practices and risk management.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health, Social Care or Community Mental Health (or equivalent), or be working towards one.
The ability to travel flexibly across the BNSSG area.
