This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term contract, 39 hours per week, working Saturday 08:00 - 16:00, Sunday - Wednesday 14:30 - 22:30

Location: Wash Barn, Buckfastleigh, Devon, TQ11 0JU

Pay: Saturday rate: £21.54 per hour. Sunday - Wednesday rate: £14.36 per hour + 71p shift allowance after 8pm.

What you'll be doing…

As our Skilled Operative, you will support the Team Manager in delivering the day's requirement for your department. Working as part of the team, you will help to ensure that we are producing high quality, well-presented veg boxes, and accurately weighed bags and punnets of produce. You will be key in keeping the team motivated to achieve your targets for the day, communicating positively when you need them to pick up the pace and working with all the departments around production to solve problems or keep them up to date with any issues.

Skilled Operatives step up to the mark in the absence of the Team Manager, so you'll need strong communication skills, working collaboratively to keep the department running smoothly. You'll help with the day-to-day management of the team, as well as stepping up and taking on more responsibility when the Team Manager is absent.

What we're looking for

Experience of working within a production or manufacturing environment
Able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
Good time management and organisation skills
Able to work in an accurate and methodical manner
Willingness to develop your knowledge further
Experience of using IT Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and AX (Stock Management System)
Self-motivated
