King's Meadow Primary School is a 'Good' and successful primary school in Bicester with over 400 children currently on roll. Our children are well-mannered, well-behaved, creative and as passionate about their learning as we are. Duties
- Plan and deliver creative, interactive lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS1 pupils.
- Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a cohesive approach to education and pupil wellbeing.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that enhance the pupils’ learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe learning environment at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching early childhood education or within KS1 settings.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques suitable for young children.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Passion for inspiring young learners and fostering their curiosity and confidence in learning.
- Ability to adapt lessons to cater for individual learning styles and needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding procedures and promoting inclusive education practices. This role is ideal for motivated educators committed to making a positive impact on children’s early years of schooling while developing their professional skills within a supportive environment.
