About the Role
Eccles Sixth Form College is a centre of vocational excellence, with courses in Animal Management, Equine, Sport, Business & Travel, Health & Social, and Entry level skills. As a part of the Animal Management offering, the site plays host to Eccles College Animal Park. Set across four acres of outdoor space, and 4 specialist inside spaces, the park is home to more than 500 individual animals representing over 110 species, including: Camelids, Marmosets, Capybara, Argentine Black & White Tegu, Skunks, Clownfish, Cheesemans Gerbil, and Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks.
In addition to supporting our students with their Exotic and Rodent skills, the college works with a range of rare British livestock breeds, including English Goats, Portland Sheep and Soay Sheep, with the college’s first lambing in February 2025, and first kidding in May 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a diverse animal collection, help maintain exceptional standards of care, and inspire the next generation of animal care professionals.
