Directorate: Children’s Services
Pay Level: 6, 36,508 - £40,958 (fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Ending 31st March 2027)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
DBS requirement: Enhanced

What you’ll be doing:

Are you passionate about supporting families and helping children thrive? Do you have the skills to build trusting relationships, identify needs and connect people to the right support before challenges escalate into crisis?

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Family Wellbeing and Resilience Practitioner to join our Family Information Service team.

This rewarding role will focus on engaging directly with families experiencing financial hardship, crisis or instability, helping them navigate services and access the support they need to improve their wellbeing, build resilience and create positive outcomes for their children.

Using a whole-family approach, you will work alongside families to understand their circumstances, identify barriers and provide practical advice, guidance and supported referrals. You will work closely with Family Hubs, schools, early years providers, community organisations and other partners to ensure families receive timely and coordinated support.

You will also contribute to outreach and community engagement activities, helping to reach families who may not otherwise access services and ensuring support is available where it is needed most.
