About us

Sharpak Bridgwater manufactures plastic packaging for the food industry. The use of food packaging is essential for optimising food quality and preservation. Plastic food packaging extends the shelf-life of food, reduces food colour change and wastage, preserves the food’s nutrient content and prevents harmful food borne illnesses.

We recycle all plastic waste on site and reuse it in our manufacturing process. Sharpak Bridgwater is also proud to be part of Prevent Ocean Plastic and Operation Clean Sweep.

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to come and work in a fast passed manufacturing environment in Bridgwater.

The role involves working 12 hour shifts on a 4 days on 4 days off, 4 nights on and 4 days off pattern.

The hourly rate of £15.52 includes shift premium.

Please note that due to insurance purposes, applicants must be aged 18 years or over.

This position requires you to have a valid FLT Licence.

Main duties include:

Complying with the requirements of the site Health & Safety Policy, Health & Safety Arrangements manual.
The adherence and promotion of quality and hygiene arrangements in all relevant areas ensuring a clean and tidy and safe working environment is maintained.
Managing raw materials and ensure its available for production requirements.
Managing waste products i.e. Regrind and purge material.
Operating ancillary equipment i.e. Grinders , Colour sorter and de-lamintor ensuring clean and in good working order.
Servicing of all lines in the factory.
Quality assurance of products and complete any associated documentation.
This list is not exhaustive and you will be required to carry out other duties within your trained capabilities.
