Norman’s Dog Day Care – named after the family’s Newfoundland – has been created to deal with dogs who are left at home whilst owners are at work. The environment is very different from any other dog day care. The days are structured with walks, play, learning, training and did we mention fun? There is plenty of that. Everything we do here at Norman’s is done to create a fun safe environment for your dog.
Dog Handler -
We are currently seeking suitable candidates for the role of dog handler within our prestigious five-star, market leading dog day care.
To qualify for this golden opportunity to join our well-established team of highly trained professionals you must process ALL of the following abilities and attributes: -
You will have a relevant animal qualification.
You will be Physically fit, as this role requires you to be 100% alert and on your feet for two four-hour shifts per day… punctuated by a 30-minute break. There really is no ‘down-time’ or ‘slack periods’ within this operation.
You will have flexibility when it comes to time management, as this business is open from 07:00hrs through to 18:00hrs.
You must be willing to be hands on with all the tasks of day care and that includes picking up dog waste, general cleaning (we do a LOT of that!) and many other similar manual orientated duties such as filling bowls and sweeping up the garden to name ‘but a few’).
You will possess the speed of a gazelle when duty calls… your previous Dog Handling experience will have taught you that a great deal can happen in the blink of an eye, when dealing with canines in a group/pack environment.
You will possess a reasonable level of literacy to complete our comprehensive daily paper trail. We are a well-run business that records almost everything you can imagine… and more besides.
