Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Removal Helper/Driver to join our team. This role involves assisting with the transportation and movement of goods, ensuring safe and efficient delivery, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, and heavy lifting, with a strong focus on safety and communication. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of items, ensuring careful handling of goods during transit
- Driving company vehicles, including vans and cars, to deliver items to clients' premises or storage facilities
- Navigating routes efficiently whilst adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Supporting with the organisation and packing of items for removals or deliveries
- Communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Ensuring all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage
- Maintaining cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle before and after shifts
- Assisting with warehouse duties such as stock organisation, inventory checks, and heavy lifting tasks
Skills
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively
- Physically fit with the stamina to handle physically demanding tasks throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, organised, and attentive to safety procedures
