A day in the life of…

Working in one or more of the hotel's bars, as a Bartender you’ll be responsible for ensuring that guests have a positive, first class dining experience. You’ll greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised dining area, restocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation as needed whilst working agilely to support the rest of the wider business

**Please note that due to licencing legislation, we will only be accepting applicants who are age 18 or above. Due to the nature of this role, you may be required to work late evenings and weekends.**

What do we need from you?

Previous bartending experience essential. Must be skilled in mixing drinks, serving guests and maintain high standard.
To be successful in this role you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards
You’ll be a strong communication skills and ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
An ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members to provide excellent service to guest, being agile in your ability to support colleagues across the hotel
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organised dining area
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Experience working in a bar or hospitality environment and knowledge of creating cocktails as well as other beverages would be beneficial

Mercure Cardiff is located in the docklands district of Tiger Bay, 3 miles from Cardiff city centre. The location inspired its design, with a copper aesthetic and Welsh love spoons, textiles and miners' hats displayed. The hotel is easily accessible by road, with the M4 close by and on-site parking available. We have 11 meeting rooms for business conferences and a gym for exercising. Many local attractions are nearby, including Cardiff Castle, ICC Wales, the Royal Mint and Principality Stadium.

Our 11 meeting rooms are ideal for business functions and conferences. Each with natural lighting, modern equipment and free Wi-Fi.
