Job summary

Are you passionate about supporting people on their mental health recovery journey? Do you want a role where you can make a genuine difference in people's lives every day?

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker to join our Adult Community Mental Health Team. In this rewarding role, you will work directly with people experiencing mental health difficulties, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and achieve meaningful recovery goals.

You'll support individuals in their own homes, within the community, and during transitions from inpatient services back into everyday life. Working as part of a friendly multidisciplinary team, you'll play a vital role in helping people regain control, improve their wellbeing, and access the support they need to live fulfilling lives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mental health experience who enjoys building positive relationships, working collaboratively, and seeing the real impact of their support.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel within the community and be able to work across a 24/7 shift pattern as required including weekends and nights. Experience working in a Community Mental Health Service would be an advantage but isn't essential.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

As a Support Time and Recovery Worker, you will:
Provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Help people work towards goals identified within their care and recovery plans.
Support individuals to develop independence, confidence, and daily living skills.
Deliver recovery-focused interventions under the guidance of qualified professionals.
Build positive therapeutic relationships that encourage engagement and wellbeing.
Support people transitioning from inpatient services back into their communities.
Work closely with families, carers, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.
Help identify changes in a person's wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately.
Signpost and support access to services such as housing, benefits, advocacy, and community resources.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, meetings, and care planning discussions.
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and service development activities.
