Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our applications through comprehensive testing and analysis. This role involves working across various platforms and technologies, including web, mobile, and enterprise systems, to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in test automation and continuous integration processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct functional, system, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing to validate software quality.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and JUnit.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases to facilitate effective troubleshooting and resolution.
- Integrate testing processes within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to support DevOps practices.
- Participate in release management activities ensuring smooth deployment of software updates.
- Document test results meticulously and report issues clearly using Jira or similar defect tracking systems.
- Support the development team with technical troubleshooting related to software issues across various environments including Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Conduct API testing using REST/SOAP protocols; verify data integrity through JDBC/SQL queries; perform database validation with MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server or MongoDB.
- Contribute to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities including requirements gathering, system analysis, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Assist in maintaining quality assurance standards across projects by reviewing test cases and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in software testing within an Agile or Waterfall environment.
- Extensive knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver with Java or C#, TestNG, Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including requirements gathering and release management processes.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter is desirable.
- Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash (Unix shell).
- Knowledge of databases including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or NoSQL options like MongoDB is essential.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging across multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, iOS & Android environments.
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles along with HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge for front-end testing.
- Prior experience supporting DevOps initiatives with tools like TFS/Azure DevOps or GitHub/GitLab is advantageous.
