We're looking for an experienced People Services Advisor to join our team and provide professional, practical HR support to managers and employees across a wide range of people matters. In this role, you will provide trusted HR guidance, support employee relations, promote wellbeing and engagement, and contribute to projects that strengthen our people practices and enable our teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate services.
Key Responsibilities

Provide clear, practical HR advice and support to managers on absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance and employee relations matters

Maintain HR policies, procedures, contracts, job descriptions and employee records, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance

Support and attend formal HR meetings, investigations, hearings and consultations, ensuring processes are managed effectively and compliantly.

Produce HR reports and monitor key metrics including absence, turnover, training compliance and employee relations activity

Support organisational change projects including restructures, TUPE transfers and site openings and closures

Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, recognition and development initiatives that support an inclusive and purpose-led culture, in partnership with managers and the L&D team

Contribute to HR projects, system improvements, audits, inspections and continuous improvement activities that enhance the employee experience.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and proactive, with the confidence to advise managers at all levels. You will be able to balance a varied workload, communicate clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships across an organisation where people, purpose and community impact matter.
You will bring sound HR knowledge, good judgement and a practical approach to problem solving, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting employees who work everyday to make a difference.
You will need

A minimum of CIPD Level 3 or working towards

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

Experience managing employee relations cases

Confident communicator with strong coaching and influencing skills

Able to work independently and build effective relationships across teams

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Pay: £28,210 per year

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.
^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need a well-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and Insurance covering business use.
