At Providing Care Ltd, we support young people aged 16–18 within Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation, including both looked-after young people and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
This is a young person-centred role focused on providing stability, encouragement and practical support, helping young people build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes as they transition into adulthood.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Support Workers who want to make a real and lasting difference. This is more than a shift-based role—it's about building positive, professional relationships and supporting young people through some of the most important stages of their lives.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support within the young person's accommodation, creating a safe, supportive and nurturing environment while promoting independence and resilience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting young people to access education, ESOL, training and employment opportunities.
- Helping young people develop essential independence skills such as budgeting, cooking, shopping and tenancy management.
- Accompanying young people to health, professional, immigration (where applicable), solicitor and right-to-remain appointments.
- Explaining processes in a calm, clear and reassuring way, helping young people understand their options and next steps.
- Delivering tailored key work sessions that promote wellbeing, confidence, integration, resilience and future planning.
- Building positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
- Working collaboratively with social workers, local authorities, solicitors, education providers and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality records in line with Ofsted and organisational requirements.
This role operates on a rota basis and includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required.

- Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Flexibility to work in line with service needs.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
Experience within supported accommodation, residential childcare, youth work, outreach or similar settings is desirable, but your values, commitment and passion for supporting young people are equally important.
