Assistant Librarian
Looking for a part-time, term time only library role that makes a real difference to students' learning experience?
Chichester College Group is seeking an Assistant Librarian to join our friendly Library team. Based at our Chichester campus, you will help deliver an outstanding library service, support students and staff, and work with curriculum teams to develop library resources, information skills and learning support services.
As our Assistant Librarian, you will:
- Oversee the cataloguing of printed books and support effective stock management.
- Develop and promote library stock and services through collaboration with curriculum teams across the campus.
- Provide excellent front-line customer service on the enquiry and circulation desks.
- Support the delivery of library inductions, information skills sessions and electronic learning resources.

What you will bring to the role:
- Experience working in a customer-focused library environment.
- Education to degree level.
- A librarianship or information management qualification (or willingness to work towards one) would be advantageous.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.

The working pattern for this role will be: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 2.00pm, 36 working weeks per year, paid for 43.2 weeks.
