The Role

Your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, with no weekend or bank holiday working, helping you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

This is an office-based role and you will be based at our Exeter Head Office:

You will report directly to Jack Taylor, Head of Finance.

Job Description

This role is essential in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and ensuring our records remain accurate, organised, and compliant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reconcile supplier statements and investigate invoice queries.
Process and maintain purchase ledger records accurately.
Support administration and document management, including historic invoice filing.
Assist with company expense checking, monitoring, and processing.
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial summaries.
Support month-end and year-end finance procedures.
Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.
Work closely with colleagues across departments to resolve account queries.
Assist with general finance administration and business support tasks as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Is trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
Can work independently whilst also being a valuable team player.
Has a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to support the wider team when needed.
Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Qualifications & ExperienceEssential

Previous experience in an accounts, finance, bookkeeping, or administration role.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent finance/bookkeeping qualification).
Experience using accounting software.
Previous experience within a fast-paced office environment.
