HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver
Westcott Sand & Aggregates are looking for a full time, permanent HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver with (C) License.
Working Monday-Friday from 07:00-17:00, with some Saturday requirements during peak periods.
Working location will be from our Exeter base, the successful candidate will start their working day in Exeter and end their working day in Exeter. Your working day will consist of varied delivery locations around the South West.
The successful candidate will be hard working, polite, have excellent communication skills with both customers and team members and have a can do attitude towards their role.
Duties:
- Safely operate a rigid with lorry mounted crane.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and daily checks
- Communicate with the office team and clients regarding delivery status.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
- Adhere to company policies and and procedures.
- Ensure your working area is kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and proper manner
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Valid Rigid HGV Class 2 (C) license.
- Forklift license would be beneficial, however is not essential for this role.
- Proven experience as a crane driver and operator is essential.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record (no more than 6 points)
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations within your specific role.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps
- Local knowledge of the area would be beneficial in your role, but not essential. - Strong communication and customer service skills
- Minimum age of 21 years old for insurance purposes.

Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
