Job Title: Front and Back of The House Crew – SpudBros Express

Location: Lothian Road, Edinburgh
Reports To: Supervisors / Store Manager
Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

The Role - Back of The House

As a Back of House Crew Member, you’ll be responsible for preparing the hot and cold ingredients that fuel our famous loaded spuds. You’ll handle batch recipes, manage stock rotation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. While the Front of House team assembles orders, you’ll ensure everything they need is prepped, fresh, and ready to go.

This is a behind-the-scenes role with real responsibility - it’s about consistency, precision, and pride in getting it right.

What You’ll Do

1. Prep, Prep, Prep

● Prepare all hot and cold ingredients to recipe spec - on time, every time

● Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and portioning

● Label and store all items correctly using FIFO and food safety best practices

2. Own Stock & Supply

● Receive, check, and store deliveries accurately

● Monitor stock levels and alert managers of low or missing items

● Track prep usage and help avoid waste through smart rotation and storage

3. Maintain a Clean & Safe Kitchen

● Keep all BOH areas clean, organised, and compliant with food hygiene regulations

● Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks to standard

● Follow all health & safety and allergen procedures - zero shortcuts, zero compromises

4. Be a Reliable Team Player

● Communicate clearly with the Front of House team about what’s ready or running low

● Support your shift leader with handovers and prep planning

● Bring a can-do attitude and take pride in your space and work

The Role - Front of the House

As a Front of House Crew Member, you’re the first and last face our guests see. You’ll be taking orders, handing over piping hot loaded spuds, and keeping things running smoothly during fast-paced shifts. This is a guest-facing, team-based, full-on role - and we’ll train you up to do it like a pro.

What You’ll Do

1. Deliver Awesome Service

● Greet guests with energy, warmth, and personality

● Take orders quickly and accurately - always with a smile

● Handle payments, explain the menu, and provide service like a natural

2. Keep It Moving

● Pack and hand over orders with speed and care

● Communicate with the kitchen team to keep service smooth

● Help keep wait times down and vibes high during busy shifts

3. Own the Front of House

● Keep the space clean, stocked, and looking sharp

● Jump into side tasks like drink prep, tidying, or restocking

● Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures

What You’ll Bring

● Strong attention to detail and a love for getting things done right

● Experience in prep or BOH roles is a plus - but not essential

● Confidence working with recipes, measurements, and stock rotation

● Calm, focused, and self-sufficient - even during rush periods

● A reliable, team-first mindset and willingness to learn fast
