Pizzarova...

Pizzarova began in 2013 as a mobile pizza oven in the back of a Land Rover, serving sourdough pizzas at festivals and markets around Somerset. Since then, we’ve grown to four locations across Bristol, and built a business defined by team culture, strong values, and a commitment to doing things properly - from quality food to 5* service to developing our people.

The Role

The shop is due to open in late October. Before then, we’ll bring you to Bristol (all travel covered) to train with our existing team and learn how we operate day-to-day over a 2 week period. You’ll shadow services, prep, back office work and leadership systems - so you can hit the ground running when your own team comes onboard.

Timeline depending, you’ll be involved in the setup of the Bath site, helping shape the layout and flow of the restaurant, unpacking and organising kit, and maybe even picking up a brush for the final fit-out. This is a rare opportunity to build a team and a space from scratch.

You will wear many hats every day at Pizzarova; store manager, pizza chef, coach, host, dough maker, mentor - amongst many others! If you love variety, are full of energy, and want to leave a positive imprint this is a role for you. What’s important to us is that you can look after your people, your customers, and your store and have hospitality running through you.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of our Bath shop; leading the team, maintaining standards, and ensuring the site hits its quality and service targets. Week to week you will be responsible for rota’s, stock, P&L, alongside other performance metrics such as reviews, compliance, and efficiency -Your month to month or long term goal is to build a store and team that aligns with the Rova vision and culture with flexibility within our framework to build on your experience and ideas.

Support comes from an experienced senior team who have all come through the ranks and grown within Pizzarova - we have been in your shoes and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. We think of our GM’s as business owners - you will have the autonomy to build and change with support and guidance to grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Run all aspects of service with consistency and attention to detail
Hire, train and develop your team
Manage labour planning, cost of sales, stock and ordering
Lead site-level reporting and work closely with our operations team
Maintain excellent food quality, hygiene and customer experience
Help set the tone for the culture, pace and standard of the shop
Take ownership and autonomy of your site, using your experience and personality to make the biggest impact you can on our shops

Who are we looking for?

Minimum 2 years’ experience running a busy hospitality venue
Confident, calm, and empathetic leader with strong communication and people skills
Strong understanding of cost control, ordering, rota planning and team development
Comfortable working across kitchen, service and prep and happy to get stuck in in all areas
A passion for food, you don’t need to have worked in a professional kitchen or pizzeria before but a love for cooking (and eating!) is a necessity
Someone who leads by example, and sets high standards for food and service
Practical, organised and motivated by building something that lasts
Personality and a lust for life
