Are you passionate about supporting the mental health of children and young people? YPAS is offering an exciting opportunity to train as a Trainee Interpersonal Psychotherapy Practitioner for Adolescents (IPT-A) while working directly with young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
This is a 12-month paid training post that includes fully funded training leading to a postgraduate qualification in IPT-A. You will receive expert clinical supervision and clinical experience as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.
Do you have a recognised CORE qualification?
Are you an accredited counsellor, social worker, mental health nurse or occupational therapist?
Are you looking to increase skills and competencies working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health?
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate existing knowledge and experience of working therapeutically with young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties. Experience of at least 2 years working with children and young people is essential.
Applicants without the above recognised core profession but with 4 years’ experience of working in a mental health service delivering therapy will be considered for eligibility via the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) framework based on that developed by the BABCP https://babcp.com/Knowledge-Skills-Attitudes
Salary: NJC point 17 - £31,022
Contract: 12 months fixed term
