Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth workflow and teamwork.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Monitor inventory levels, assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment.
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere.
Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and hospitality.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
