Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Logistics Co-ordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient management of supply chain activities, coordinate transportation and warehouse operations, and ensure seamless materials handling. Your proactive approach will help optimize logistics processes, improve supply chain performance, and support the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional service.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the preparation, configuration, programming and dispatch of payment terminals used on petrol forecourts. The role ensures that all terminals are accurately configured to customer specifications, quality checked, recorded on the company ERP system and prepared for installation by field engineers or direct shipment to customers.
In addition to the technical preparation of OPTs, the role supports warehouse operations including goods receiving, inventory control, shipping and general material handling activities.
Responsibilities
Outside Payment Terminal
- Configure and programme Outside Payment Terminals (OPTs) to customer and project specifications.
- Install and verify firmware, software and system settings prior to dispatch.
- Configure payment terminal parameters, network settings and peripheral devices as required.
- Carry out functional testing to ensure each terminal operates correctly before shipment.
- Complete quality inspections and document all programming, testing and configuration activities.
- Record serial numbers, asset information and programming status within the company ERP system.
- Prepare terminals with the correct accessories, documentation and installation packs.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware or configuration issues prior to dispatch.
- Liaise with Engineering, Technical Support and Project teams to ensure equipment is prepared to the required specification.
- Processing supporting documentation / admin (WUFOO)
- Processing transaction on ICS/NAV
- Transaction of OPTs on site
Procurement
- Raise Purchase Orders
- Chase vendors for quotes / order placed
- Update Navision/Systems based on the updates from vendors
- Run Material Resource Planning (MRP) – conducted daily
- Support the Supply Chain team in daily functions
Warehouse & Logistics
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders and equipment for field service engineers.
- Maintain accurate tracking of OPTs throughout the warehouse, in transit and on customer sites.
- Load and unload vehicles using forklift trucks.
- Receive incoming deliveries and verify goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Update shipping information using ERP and courier systems including ByBox and TNT.
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels for UK and international deliveries.
- Carry out perpetual inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure products are stored safely and correctly within the warehouse.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and health & safety.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Previous warehouse, logistics or material handling experience.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using ERP or stock management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience configuring or programming electronic equipment or payment terminals.
- Navision ERP experience.
- Experience working within a technical manufacturing, engineering or electronics environment.
- Understanding of inventory control and shipping processes.
