Full job description

Clinical Administrator

We are looking for a General Practice Administrator 25 hours over 5 days to join our busy practice team.

Job Description:

The Administrator is responsible for the reading and processing the correct coding of clinical post from the hospital and other incoming post, processing daily discharges from the hositals, data collection for audits and recall programs for long term conditions. They are reporting to the Practice Team Leader for duties, which may include more depending on the day and tasks.

Essential Functions:
Accurate, methodical and precise administration
Good team worker
Good timekeeping
Able to be flexible in tasks
Good Language skills (GSCE's C and above)
Good Written Skills (GSCE's C and above)

Requirements:

MUST HAVE Administrative or Clerical Experience in General Practice with systmone experience.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment; ability to multitask & prioritise effectively is a must!
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (specifically in English)
Flexible and adaptable to instruction from leader

Mickleover Medical Centre is a fairly large practice with over 13,000 patients that we serve.

As you will have experienced as a patient, Doctors surgeries are very, very busy.

A good grasp of verbal and written word is absolutely essential, along with a good dose of common sense to handle situations in the moment.

We are looking for flexibility across the working hours of 7.45 am and 8pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend work as needed and your hours will be adjusted in the week to compensate or paid at time and a half if over 37.5 hours per week is achieved.

The team are a supportive bunch who meet outside work socially. When the circumstances allow, we have practice social events in the summer and at Christmas, with lots of 'fuddles' in between!

We are a living wage employer, regardless of age - which means we pay just above the national minimum wage and that those under 25 get the same as those over 25 - provided you can do the job!

We are an NHS Pension employer where 14.38% of your salary is contributed to your pension by the Practice. We also have Childcare vouchers you can get through the Practice and an EAP.
