Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service/Admin Assistant to join our friendly team in a busy haulage and warehousing environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer support while efficiently managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be proficient in various computer applications, and have previous experience in administrative or office environments. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills within a supportive team.

This is a part-time role Wednesday-Friday 1pm-5pm

Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
Manage incoming calls efficiently and in a pleasant manner and direct calls as necessary
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office
Maintain organised records of customer interactions, appointments, and transactions
Support the team with general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and document preparation
Update and manage customer databases ensuring information is current and accurate
Handle correspondence and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Skills

Proven office experience with a strong understanding of administrative procedures
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Pleasant phone manner and good communication skills
Previous clerical experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if needed
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
