Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Garden Machinery Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of garden machinery and equipment. Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostics on various garden machinery to identify faults and issues
- Repair and service equipment including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other power tools
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, blade sharpening, and part replacements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs
- Test repaired machinery to ensure proper functioning before returning to customers
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work carried out
Experience
- Previous experience working with mechanical systems or in a similar repair role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of garden machinery or outdoor power tools is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and specialised power tools is required
- Familiarity with basic electrical systems related to garden equipment is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail are essential for diagnosing faults effectively
