About the role

Are you ready to shape the future of mapping across the Isle of Man?

As Senior Mapping Officer within the Department of Infrastructure, you’ll play a pivotal role at the heart of the Island’s national mapping body. Leading the Mapping Service, you’ll oversee the development and delivery of essential spatial datasets, drive the annual mapping revision programme, and ensure the effective acquisition and licensing of mapping products. This is a unique opportunity to influence mapping policy, advise across Government and commercial sectors, and bring forward innovative ideas that enhance the impact and efficiency of geospatial services.

You’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels, provide expert guidance on copyright and open data, and lead a small team to deliver a high-quality, responsive service. If you’re passionate about geospatial data, enjoy leading projects from concept to delivery, and are motivated by making a real difference across public services, this role offers a rewarding and dynamic next step.
