Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team here at Forss House Hotel currently 2AA. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods
Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to service standards
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in presentation and quality control
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
